Senior recognition night will be held on Friday, 1/21 before the HS boys varsity game for our cheerleaders and boys basketball players.
Due to potential inclement weather, tonight's (1/19) Little GEC Boys Basketball games have been moved to Thursday, 1/20. Thursday's games have been moved to Saturday, 1/22 (see bracket). Also, tonight's JH VB practice has been cancelled. Practice will begin on Monday, 1/24 from 3-5 @ GGS. Current physicals and permission forms/waivers must be on file prior to first practice.

Ballgame update: The HS boys will host Pope Co on Friday, 1/21 (varsity game only), 7:15-7:30 start. The JH boys will host Akin (varsity only) @ 6:00 PM at the HS on Friday, 1/21. Boys Little GEC games will be played @ GHS on 1/18-1/20. The gym will be cleared out between games on 1/18 and 1/19 to reduce contact and to wipe down seating areas.
Jr High volleyball practice for students in grades 5-8 will begin on Wednesday, 1/19 @ GGS, 4-6 PM. If you are interested in playing but are unable to attend, please contact coach Ayshia Johnson @ 618-926-8585.

Dear parents/guardians: we are happy to announce that Stacy’s bus route will resume as normal beginning Wednesday, January 19.
Kitty Kats will be postponed this week and we will reschedule for the first week of Feb. A practice schedule will be put out this week.

Galatia CUSD #1 will be back in session starting Tuesday January 18, 2022. Mrs. Stacy's bus route will not be running this week. If this changes we will let everyone know. We look forward to seeing everyone back.
Attached is an updated 2022 Little GEC Boys Basketball Bracket (as of 1/14). The first games played on Tuesday and Wednesday have been moved up to 5:00 so that the gym can be emptied & cleaned prior to the following game. All games will be played at GHS.

Tonight's (1/11) JH girls and JH boys basketball games are cancelled. As of now, tonight's (1/11) HS boys game is still on. The HS girls game on 1/12 is cancelled. The JH boys Little GEC tournament games scheduled for 1/13 will be played at Gallatin Co. The Little GEC tournament will resume at Galatia on 1/18. Please see the attached bracket for updates. The HS girls game on 1/13 has been cancelled and we will not play at Elverado on 1/17 but will play in the consolation bracket on 1/18 @ 6:30. The HS boys game on 1/14 has been cancelled.
The first Kitty Kat practice has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 18 6-7pm at the FLOC. The second practice on Thursday, Jan. 20th 6-7pm will remain the same.

Kim Jenkins bus route will not run today. Kevin and Sabrina will do their best to pick up everyone on Kim‘s route this morning. If it all possible please bring your children to school if they’re on Kim‘s route though. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
