Teaching Positions
The Jr Lady Bearcats will play in Akin’s annual volleyball tournament this Friday, 3/4 and Saturday, 3/5. See the attached bracket for more details. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students.

The SIJHSAA Region 3 Class S Volleyball Regionals will be held @ Ewing Grade School on March 15, 16 & 17. The Jr Lady Bearcats will play on Monday, March 15 @ 7:00 (or immediately after game 1). See the attached bracket for more information.

JV and Varsity Scholar Bowl concluded their regular season today with wins against Thompsonville. JV ended their season with a 12-1 record. Varsity’s regular season record was 23-9. Great job to both teams this season. Regionals are Monday at Hamilton Co.
Congratulations to the following students for earning Top 3 in the following ACES competition: Halle Morris - 2nd in English; Sean McClusky - 3rd in Math; Jack Johnston - 1st in Physics; Carter Wiseman & Lucas Stricklin - Tied for 3rd in Physics. Congratulations Eli Hankins for advancing to the sectional 3-point shootout, leading the group with 10 baskets! Eli will shoot again before the sectional championship game on Friday, March 4 @ Okawville. Great job Eli, along with Noah, Trevor and Klayton!!
The IHSA 3-point shootout and regional final game will be played tonight, 2/25 @ Gallatin County. The 3-point contest will begin at 5:30, followed by Carrier Mills vs NCOE. Good luck to Galatia’s 3-point shooters — Noah Frailey, Trevor Hale, Eli Hankins & Klayton Wright!
Due to continued icy conditions Galatia schools will not be in session on Friday, February 25th. All extracurricular events for Friday are cancelled.
All athletic games, practices or meetings scheduled for Thur, 2/24 have been canceled. The HS baseball parent meeting will be held after practice on Monday, 2/28 @ 5:30, either at the field or in the school, depending on weather. The HS softball parent meeting will also be after Monday’s practice @ 6:30.
Due to icy road conditions, Galatia Schools will not be in session Thursday February 24th.
Jr. High Scholar Bowl lost in the second round of the tournament however we had a great season!
Attention Galatia-Thompsonville High School Baseball and Softball parents: There will be a baseball parent/player meeting on Thursday, February 24 @ 5:30 and a softball parent/player meeting @ 6:00. Meetings may be held inside the high school.
