We had a wonderful turn out tonight for our Winterfest. We made enough money to buy all of our cast T-shirts for our play (that is 56 kids) and throw them a pizza party after the play. Thank you to all the families that came. A special thank you to all of my helpers. We will be selling T-Shirts for the play to all students, staff, and parents. Order forms will be coming out before the of this month. Amanda Littler will be making our shirts. Thank you all again for coming 😁😊

The high school Beta Club took part in Illinois Senator Dale Fowler’s Valentines for Seniors Card Drive by making over 100 handwritten cards. These will be distributed to assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout the 59th Senate District. Our communities’ senior citizens need to be cherished and the Beta Club enjoyed the opportunity to bring them some joy this Valentines Day.

Bearcats, the decision to have school tomorrow or not was a tougher decision this afternoon. Many roads are much safer to travel, but some portions of bus routes, and many driveways where students walk to get on a bus are still ice covered. The region will see low temperatures tonight causing refreezing and the potential of black ice tomorrow morning. Based on these factors, Galatia Schools will not be in session on Friday, February 3, 2023. See everyone on Monday.
