The kids had an so much fun today at summer school. We made solar ovens to cook s'mores. Thank you Mackie's Pizza for donating pizza boxes. They enjoyed making them and then eating them. We had a vist today from Officer Bergman and K-9 Brawn. They showed the class what a K-9 does on the job and how he can protect police officers. The kids had lots of great questions. We really enjoyed their visit and a special thanks to Mr. Brown who stepped up and participated in the bite suit.

Monday and Tuesday we did a lot of neat experiments in summer school. We made a soap boats, boats out of aluminum foil, walking water, air vortex, paper cup parachutes, and inflated a balloon. In art they painted with homemade paint from fruits, vegetables, and eggs. They also did some outside chalk drawings. In PE they had a play day outside and played a game of sharks, fish, and minnows. The kids are really having fun.

Can't wait to continue our adventure next week. Come join us Monday - Thursday 8:00-11:00 am. The more the merrier.

We played zombie tag, submarine tag, and ice cream cone races in PE today. We also got to go to Art and we had to do different tasks to get to know each other better. Then we did some Reading and STEM activities. We tried to build a house of cards (harder than what we thought it would be). Then we built 3D shapes with gum drops and toothpicks. The kids really enjoyed this because they got to eat them.

We also made campers, marshmallow art that we got to eat, and made some explosions with diet coke and mentos. The kids had a blast. We hope that more of you come and join us this week.
