Parents,
Galatia Schools now has the capability to test students through SHIELD of Illinois for Covid-19. Any parent who would like to have their student tested weekly should contact the school nurse. Weekly testing is VOLUNTARY and will not be completed unless a parent contacts the school nurse.
Our 2nd grade classes did a writing project thanking our Veterans for their service to our country. We appreciate all the Veterans who have served! Thank you!
Thursday November 11 there is no school because of Veterans Day! Thank you so much VETERANS!!! Thank you for your service.

This Friday, November 12th, the Saline County CEO class is hosting a drive in movie. The Movie will take place in Harrisburg and begins at 7 P.M. Everyone is welcome.
Galatia Administration and Staff would like to send a big thank you to our students and families. Red and White Night and the Homecoming Dance were well attended with fantastic behavior. We had several comments on how great student behavior was. Everyone represented the school well. We were so excited to have a little "normalcy" back and it seemed that fun was had by all.
Galatia CUSD #1 is considering moving to a middle school model for the 2022-2023 school year. Middle School would consist of 6th, 7th, and 8th grades at the current Jr. High building. If you have questions or comments please feel free to contact one of the district administrators, or the public is welcome to make comments at the November board meeting.

Homecoming Coronation will be held in the high school gym at 6 p.m. Masks will be required in the gym.
Red & White night is tonight, 11/5 @ 6:00. Meals will be served in the Ag barn at 4:30. If you’d like to show off your skills, we will have head to head free throw contests & 3-pt contests...the winner gets the red Bearcat paw. Alumni game participants get the 2021 gold paw. Other teams have baskets to raffle so please come out and support our Bearcats!!!
Red & White Night will be held on Friday, November 5, doors open @ 6:00, cost is $1 per person. Masks are required while indoors. The HS girls basketball team will have 75 BBQ dinners and pizza for sale from 4:30-6:00 (in the Ag barn) and the junior class will have concessions in the cafeteria. Attached is a tentative schedule, times/events are likely to change, so please arrive by 6:00 if you don't want to miss out! The HS boys will have their cake auction and several other teams will have baskets they're raffling and/or activities to participate in. Galatia Alumnus who would like to participate in the Alumni Game will need to donate $10. The Galatia Team Shop is also open, please look at the attached flyer for ordering details.
Sophomore class: your Show Me Dough orders need to be turned in to Ms. Harbin or Mr. Vinyard NO later than Friday, November 5th at 8am. Orders will be in Wednesday, November 10th. Please make arrangements for pickup as we do not have room to store them and they need to stay frozen.
