Congratulations to the 8th grade scholar bowl team on their win at Hardin County! The 7th grade did lose today when it came down to a tie-breaker question but still a great performance!
Attention: The Little GEC Jr. High Girls Basketball Tournament will be hosted at Galatia High School on Jan. 4th, 5th, and 7th. All games will be played at GHS. Galatia plays in the first round on Jan. 4th at 6:00p.m. Please come out to support the Galatia Jr. Lady Bearcats
Attention: The 8th grade night for the Galatia Jr. High Bearcats Boys Basketball team will be held on Jan. 10th. at the Grade School, starting at 6:00p.m with a short game before for some of the younger athletes.
Jr. High Volleyball announcements. We have had another movement date for Jr. High Volleyball tryouts. Any 5th through 8th grader interested in trying out for the Jr. High Volleyball team tryouts will be held on Jan. 13th at GHS from 5-7 pm. Additionally, open gyms will be held for Jr. High Girls Volleyball on Jan. 9th from 5-6:30 at the Grade school, Jan. 10th from 5:30-6:30 at the Highschool, Jan. 11th from 5:30-6:30 at the Highschool, and Jan. 12th from 5-7 at the Grade school.
We have some very exciting news, starting Jan. 4th we will have two new bus drivers! Ms. Melissa will be taking over Kevin’s old route and Ms. Meghan will be taking Ms. Kim’s route. Ms. Kim will still be driving her Norris City route. Please be patient with us as we figure out pickup and drop off times. We are so thankful to be able to provide more comfortable transportation for your children.
Just a reminder that Monday, January 2, 2023 is a teacher in-service day. We look forward to welcoming back students on Tuesday. Enjoy these last couple days of break.
Attention: when returning from break, on Jan. 2nd, there will be a JH girls home game, that will be the JH basketball 8th grade night at the GS. please come out and support the Jr. Lady Bearcats.
There is also, an away game that night 1/2 against Hardin County for the High school girls.

- JH boys basketball will practice tonight at the High School from 5-6:15
-There will be an open gym held on Saturday, December 17th at GHS from 8-10am for any 5-8th grade girls interested in trying out for JH volleyball.
-Due to Galatia high school boys basketball being withdrawn from the S/V tournament for this year, our HS boys basketball team will be involved in a Holiday Tournament @ CCA (Community Christian Academy) this year. It will begin this Friday, 12/16 and go through Tuesday, 12/20. The schedule for this tournament is as follows:
Friday, Dec. 16th - 8:00pm Galatia vs. Hickman
Saturday, Dec. 17th - 3:30pm Galatia vs. CFS
Tuesday, Dec. 20th - 2:00pm Galatia vs. Community Christian Academy

High school Scholar Bowl played their last matches at Gallatin Co. before Christmas break today. Both teams won and JV is now 7-0 and Varsity is 11-1. Keep up the great work!
