Teacher Spotlight: Sharla Girten. Mrs. Girten has taught for 13 years all of which has been with Galatia Schools. She has taught Jr High, 4th grade, 6th grade, and been a drama coach.
Mrs. Girten had this to say about working for Galatia Schools: "I get to work and collaborate with a wonderful group of people, and I am absolutely blessed that my job includes watching our kids learn and grow. Best job ever!"
Mrs. Girten's coworkers had this to say: "Mrs. Girten is someone that any teacher can look up to and come to with questions or for advice. She portrays a very welcoming personality."
We asked her some interesting questions:
Question: What was the most recent book you read?
Response: I love to read and am currently reading The Orphan Collector by Ellen Marie Wiseman but the last book I completed was Never by Ken Follet.
Question: What is your favorite pastime?
Response: My favorite pastime is camping and boating with family and friends.
Thank you Mrs. Girten for all your hard work!
