The JH boys basketball team will practice tonight, Feb 2, at the FLOC from 7-8:30.
Tonight’s (2/2) JH boys basketball game has been cancelled.
Parents, the school is under a boil water order and almost out of water. We do not have an adequate supply of water to perform essential functions of the school. Therefore, school will be dismissed for the day. Parents/guardians may come pick up students between now and 10:00am. Busses will begin running at 10:00 am for students on a regular route. High school drivers will be released at 9:30am. We will give an update later on any games or practices scheduled for today. We apologize for this unforeseen problem.

Attention JH cheerleaders: students in grades 5-8 interested in being a cheerleader will need to attend the meeting, along with one parent/guardian, held at the GS on Monday, Feb 1 @ 4:00. You can email Erica Mapps (emapps@galatiak12.org) for more information. And please remember, anyone entering the building must wear a face mask and have their temperature checked.

Important Athletic Update! The Illinois Department of Public Health has issued rules and regulations that schools must follow in order to have sports this year. One rule is that all spectators must be 30 feet from the playing floor. Due to the limited size of our gyms, it is simply not possible for us to meet this rule. As a result, there will be NO SPECTATORS at any HOME games this year. This regulation is not something Galatia Schools can control, it is State policy. We know this is very disappointing but we are working on recording and/or live streaming games when feasible.
Attention HS Cheerleaders: if you are interested in being on the team this year, please contact Alex Jackson (618-499-4742) by 9:00 PM tomorrow (1/30).
