Congratulations to Abby Howard and Zane Carlile for medaling at the GEC Conference cross country meet today at Pope Co. Abby was 4th and Zane finished 10th.


Guidance for sick students


JH/HS parents & guardians: parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, 10/20 from 3:30-7:00 and Thursday, 10/22 from 3:30-6:30. Contact the HS office or your child’s teacher to set up appointments by 10/19.

Seniors will be taking the SAT Wednesday, October 14th. All seniors will need to arrive at the school by 8AM, be sure to eat breakfast before arriving- only snacks will be provided. All seniors will ride the bus to the FLOC together. Seniors will be able to leave after the completion of the SAT around 1PM, if they have a signed permission slip or sign out for COOP.

Parents who would like their child (ren) to return to in class learning may do so by submitting a completed document to their child's office by October 16th to be able to return to school for the second 9 weeks on October 19th. Click the link for the document.

Tonight was recognition night for the senior cross country members. Hunter Francis, Abby Howard, and Natalie Triplett ran all four years. Liam Johnston has ran for two years. Thanks go out to all of the family members and friends that came out in support of these great kids.




Congratulations to Abby Howard and Zane Carlile for medaling at today’s GHS Cross Country Invite. Abby won the girl’s race and Zane was 3rd in the boy’s race. Zane also won a medal by placing in the top 10 last week at the Bearcat Invitational. Great job, guys!




Any students in grades 6-8 interested in bass fishing needs to contact BJ Pigg.

The deadline is approaching fast. Reminder: Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th grades need a Health exam and updated vaccines. Kindergarten students also need a vision exam. Students entering the 12th grade need a second Meningococcal vaccine. Students need these items turned in by October 15th to prevent being excluded from school. All students who transferred from out of state need a Health exam, eye exam and proof of updated vaccines due 30 days from enrollment. If you have any questions please contact the school nurse.

The GS gym renovation is now complete! New bleachers, lighting & basketball goals were recently installed to finish off the project!!




The PTO Paragon Fundraiser begins today, October 5, and lasts through Monday, October 19. Forms are being sent home with Kindergarten - 6th Grade students today.


October 13-16 will be College and Career Week at Galatia High School. All high school students are encouraged to participate! High students will be able to win prizes Tuesday - Friday! Everyday that a hs student participates in Spirit Wear will earn an entry for a $25 gift card.

Click the Send Reset Password Link.6. You will get an email sent to your school email that explains setting up your password.

Galatia student and parents,
We are pleased to announce students will be returning to in-person learning on October 5th, 2020. We will return to the same schedule we left on: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 to 2:00 with Friday being a full remote learning day. We look forward to seeing our students back on Monday.

SENIORS: The SAT will be given on Oct 14th. Everyone will need to be present at the high school by 8AM that morning. We will transport everyone to the FLOC via bus. The SAT should be complete around 1PM and students may leave afterwards IF they have a signed permission slip. Please turn the permission slip in before test day.
