Junior High Quarter 1 Honor Roll
Grade School Parents: Thank you to those of you who have turned in the money from the Paragon sales. If you haven't, please do so before Friday, October 29.
For Boys HS Basketball:
This Saturday, October 30th, there will be open gym from 8:30-10:30 am. At 10:30, Coach Vinyard will have a mandatory meeting for parents/guardians for anyone who wants to play. If you are unable to attend the parent meeting, please contact Coach Vinyard at bvinyard@galatiak12.org to make other arrangements. Thank you!
For the remainder of October, Galatia Unit #1 Schools will be practicing security measures and drills which are mandated by Illinois law. During this time, it will not be uncommon to see emergency personnel at the schools as police officers and firefighters assist us on implementation. There is no need to be alarmed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school. Thank you.
There has been some confustion with information from the ISBE. We will be off for school on Tuesday, November 2. It is not a Federal Holiday but we are taking off.

Update: the grade school will be available to seek shelter from 8:30pm- until any severe threat is over. Please bring bottles of water and blankets to sit on.
The grade school basement will be open late this evening in case of severe weather for the public seeking shelter. The Galatia Fire Department and a school employee will be present. We will post a timeframe it will be open a little closer to time when we know more. The basement will be assessable through the back door.

IHSA Volleyball Regionals begin Monday, Oct 25. The Lady Bearcats will play Gallatin Co @ Gallatin Co, on 10/25, 6:00 start. IHSA admission is $5 per person.
