Hey Parents & Students. I know this is all confusing. It's new for us too! Some packets started with old dates like March 30th. That was the initial plan & the state gave us some new information. Please email the teacher if you are concerned. This packet ends on April 17.

On Friday evening, March 27, 2020, the Illinois State Board of Education announced that schools in Illinois will be moving from "Act of God Days" to "Remote Learning Days" until schools are able to meet face to face. Galatia School District will be using the next several days as "Remote Learning Planning Days". Teachers, staff, and administrators will be working to put a plan in place to meet the requirements and guidance from the state for these days, as well as meet the needs of our students. We anticipate communicating this plan to parents and students later this week when details are finalized. We appreciate your support and patience during this process. Thank you

ALL GHS STUDENTS: We will still be having a 2020 High School Yearbook. It may be minus some sport and club pictures but we will work hard to include as much as we possibly can. If you have pics you would like to submit to fill some empty pages, please email them to mharbin@galatiak12.org. The yearbooks will be available next fall and cost $40. Names on the books will not be available this year. The order form is on the website or they are located in the high school office. Drop off the order or mail it to the high school to make sure you receive a copy. Limited extras will be available first come first serve. Any questions, PLEASE contact Ms. Harbin at mharbin@galatiak12.org.

GHS SENIOR CLASS of 2020: Ms. Harbin still needs the following by April 3rd, Senior pictures, Senior wills (list HS activities and honors as well as a 50 word will to classmates etc), and baby ads ($25) for the yearbook. I will still collect pictures for a slide show should we have graduation so let's see some grade school/junior high class pics! Preferable method is email: mharbin@galatiak12.org but if you need to drop pics off for scanning, I will return them as soon as I possibly can. Please contact me via email with any questions.

Attention seniors. Keep an eye on scholarship deadlines. Scholarships that are to be sent directly to the organization should still be mailed with enough time to arrive by the due date. For scholarships that need to be turned into the school, you can mail them to the school, email them to alaunius@galatiak12.org, or put them in the dropbox inside the main doors at the high school between 8:00am-12:00pm. Please do not leave scholarships in the dropbox after 12:00pm. If you need an official transcript, email alaunius@galatiak12.org and that will be mailed for you.
