Class of 2022 and Parents: The FAFSA completion is a graduation requirement. In addition, if a student receives an institutional scholarship they may need to have it on file before funds are applied to their account. Funds do run out and if a student is eligible for those funds, we want them to receive them. Please email Mrs. Love if you would like assistance with completing the FAFSA. Mrs. Love runs a report once a week to see who is complete. If you are unsure if the FAFSA is complete, please email, klove@galatiak12.org, or call 618-297-4199.

Students in 3rd grade learned that a dinosaur’s footprints revealed how quickly a dinosaur was running. Each student tried to “outrun” a dinosaur. Students learned to calculate the “stride length” of their classmates and if they were able to “outrun” three types of dinosaurs.

We want to communicate with parents and the community about the unexpected Lockdown at the JH/HS building this morning. Sonitrol was replacing the battery in a panic button and tested the button which set off the Lockdown alarm. We were not aware this was going to happen. There was no emergency. We apologize for any worry this caused. On a positive note, everyone in the building reacted accordingly within seconds. We want to give praise to the staff and students for being prepared and taking the alarm seriously.
