Celebrating Excellence in Fitness! These students went above and beyond during the FitnessGram, showing hard work, determination, and pride in every effort. You’ve made Mr. Clift, our PE program, and the entire district incredibly proud! Keep pushing for greatness!

We just wanted to share a few reminders for students attending home games. - Any students grades K-5 must be accompanied by an adult. - Once students enter the game, they are expected to stay. No reentry for those that leave games. - Please remain in the gym as much as possible and limit trips in and out as it can disrupt game flow. Come out and support our Bearcat teams as we begin another exciting season of gym sports!

On Saturday, our Lady Bearcats competed in the Johnston City Invitational Volleyball Tournament. Hollyn McCabe made the all tournament team at the invite. Congratulation to her!

High School Juniors Aiden Ferrel and Lucy Mortag visited Mrs. Catiller's 6th grade Exploratory class Tuesday morning. School counselor, Mrs. Sarah Prather visited the class on Wednesday morning. The students have been learning about online safety, cyber bullying, self-image, self-esteem, self-acceptance, and more. The students were able to ask Aiden, Lucy, and Mrs. Prather questions and learn about ways to overcome obstacles with these topics, and how to grow and be kind to others.

Congratulations to the Galatia FFA Chapter on placing 2nd out of 40 schools at the DuQuoin Farmyard Follies! 28 kids competed in 8 different challenging events to earn 2nd. Great job team!

Senior Class Parents - There will be a very important meeting tomorrow evening, August 20th, at 6:00 pm at The Village Pizza & Grill. If you need more information please contact Brooke Carlton.

In conjunction with neighboring districts, due to the excessive heat there will be no junior high softball or baseball games today.

Just a reminder that regular 3:00 dismissal begins tomorrow, Monday, August 18.
