The Bearcats advance in the Regional Tournament with a big win over the Cairo Pilots. They will play Goreville on Friday night at 7:00!

JH Scholar Bowl lost to a tough Carterville team in the second round of the tournament but they played a great match!

Attached is information regarding admission to regional games. IHSA sets the admission rate for all "state series" games. Tickets for Monday's regional game at Galatia will be $6. No student, senior, or pass discounts are applicable.

Due to poor road conditions on secondary roads, there will be no school on Friday, February 21, 2025. All games and extra curricular activities are also cancelled. See everyone Monday.

High school boys basketball earned the #4 seed in our sub-sectional. With this, we will get to host a first round regional game! We will play Egyptian on Monday (2/24) at Galatia High School. Game time is 6:00. The remaining regional games will be played at Goreville. Go Bearcats!

This week, we are celebrating National FFA Week and want to highlight some of the recent accomplishments of our members. Wyatt, Shelby, and Tristen all received their State FFA Degree. Wyatt was named Star Placement and Tristen was named Star Farmer for Section 25 and moved on to district. Garrett was named Star Discovery in Agriscience and moved on to district. Also, Wyatt, Shelby, Tristen, Karson, Josie, Connor, and Aiden competed in the Section 25 Proficiency Awards with their FFA record books and 6 of them moved on to district. Congratulations and good luck at district!

Overall, in the contest, Wyatt was top chairman, Aiden was 2nd place floor member, and Justin was 3rd place floor member. Great job team!

If school is cancelled for tomorrow, that determination will be made tomorrow morning before 6:00 a.m. Assuming we are in session tomorrow, we will have a 2:00 dismissal and all evening activities are cancelled.
