
Congratulations to our high school boys basketball team! With a 60-48 victory over NCOE Saturday, they won the consolation bracket of the GEC tournament.


Congratulations to the Galatia FFA Public Speaking Team on their great finish in the Section 25 contest. Garrett Arnold placed 2nd in Creed Speaking and moves on to district competition, Wyatt Arnold placed 3rd in Prepared speech, Connor Graham placed 6th in Extemporaneous, and Lindsey Romonosky placed 2nd in JV Extemporaneous. Great job team!

Congratulations to our high school scholar bowl team. They won the GEC conference tournament on Tuesday going 5-1. Great job guys!


We will be having the winter carnival at the grade school February 16th. We will also will be taking bids on jingle jars. The class that brings the most jingle jars will win a popsicle party. We hope that all class participate and have fun making their jars. Come enjoy time with your family at the winter carnival.



Just a reminder: we are hosting jh boys basketball regionals tonight and Thursday night. Tonight starts at 6:00 with New Simpson Hill vs. Adams followed by Galatia vs. Thompsonville. Championship game will be Thursday at 6:00. With this being an SIJHSAA sanctioned tournament, the association sets the admission rate of $3 for all adults and $2 for all students (no passes, etc.). Attached are admission rates, rules for fans, and a tournament bracket.




Due to Webber High School not being in session today, tonight's high school girls basketball game at Webber has been postponed.

Tonight's home high school boys basketball game has been postponed.

Galatia schools will not be in session today, January 19th, due to some secondary road conditions.

Update on Little GEC Boys Tournament: Galatia will host Carrier Mills tomorrow night (Thursday 1/18). This will be at 6:00 in the high school gym. If Galatia wins, the next game would be Saturday at Pope County.

Finding Nemo play practice is cancelled tomorrow since there is no school. Our first practice will be Monday.

Due to continued very low temperatures, and some secondary roads still icy, Galatia schools will not be in session on Wednesday, January 17, 2024

Tonight's high school girls basketball game at Elverado has been postponed.
Also, the jh boys conference tournament schedule will be pushed back due to school closings. Updates will be posted as soon as they are available for our games.

Due to secondary roads still snow covered, and extremely cold temperatures, Galatia Schools will not be in session on Tuesday, January, 16th. Stay safe and warm.
