Congratulations to the Galatia FFA Parliamentary Procedure teams. The Varsity team placed 2nd and the Junior Varsity team placed 3rd in the Section 25 contest. The Varsity team now moves on to compete at district. Great job!

Jr Parents- After Prom Meeting Wednesday, March 6 at 6 pm at Bondos.
Kate Bond, Kelsi Watson, Allen Marvel, Kayli Clarida, Jaedyn Beers, and Maddie Grubbs attended the Little Egypt District Student Council Conference at SIU in Carbondale on Feb 26th. Allen won the Dedication Pillar Award and Jaedyn won the Community Service Pillar Award. Great job GHS Student Council!


The Saline County 4-H Rally will be on Monday, March 4th. It will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Eldorado Elementary Gym.
Beers Photography will be taking Spring Pictures at the Grade School on Tuesday, March 5th and Wednesday, March 6th. Please check the schedule to see what day your student's picture will be taken. The photographer will be taking close up and full length photos.
FBLA students attended Murray State University’s Info Tech. MSU’s Telecommunications Systems Management and Computer Science programs created a one day event for high school students covering various aspects of technology and career exploration.




High School boys baseball practice will be at the GS tonight from 5-7.
JH home volleyball game vs Carrier Mills is at the HS, 5:30 C game.
Dr. Seuss Week at the Grade School February 25 - March 1, 2019.

FFA members competed with 12 schools in the Section 25 public speaking contest. Hannah Jackson placed 2nd in prepared, Nick Triplett placed 5th in extemp, Trevor Hale placed 4th in JV extemp, and Olivia McGhee placed 4th in creed. Hannah now moves on to district. Great job team!

A fun filled Friday wrapped up a great FFA week with kiss the pig and the Ag Olympics. Thanks to all for making kiss the pig a big hit. Good job FFA members for all of your hard work that made FFA week a big success!

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to our Galatia Community. The Grade School "Kiss the Pig" Contest raised a total of $1,214.58 for our playground fund. We had 3 winners: Mrs. Ellis, Mr. Crank, & Ms. Lisa.The crowd went wild for Mr. Fuller and he kissed the pig for his fans.

A message from Ms. Fulkerson's Kindergarten Class: Final update. One dinosaur is growing, the other is just about fully hatched.
Watch out Mr. Crank! These students are voting for you. It is not too late, votes will be collected tomorrow morning. Who will "Kiss the Pig"? We will announce the winner tomorrow afternoon. The FFA will bring a live pig to the Grade School for the lucky "winner" to kiss.
Galatia FFA participated in the Farm Bureau 90 second challenge with Harrisburg and Carrier Mills. Food collected today goes to area food pantries. A big thanks to Saline County Farm Bureau for sponsoring this event. They had a great time!
