Congratulations to the High School JV and Varsity Scholar Bowl teams. They had a double header against Carrier Mills today and won all four matches. The JV are now 4-2 in conference and Varsity is 3-3 in conference. Great job to both teams!
The Jr. Lady Bearcats will begin Regional action on Thursday, January 10. First round games will be played at Vienna High School. Semi-final and Championship games will be played @ New Simpson Hill. See bracket for game details.

Jr High Boys BKB practice today has been moved up to 5:00-6:30 @ GGS. Jr High Girls play at Thompsonville, bus leaves @ 5:00.
Galatia High School senior Nick Triplett broadcasted the Tuesday 12/11 Galatia basketball game at Norris City. Nick works at WEBQ Harrisburg and does some radio games. Tuesday night was his first shot at being the main play by play guy. We are very proud of Nick and I know he has a very bright future. Maybe the next Jack Buck!!

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission is pleased to announce the 2019-20 Illinois State Scholars. Honorees are chosen based on exemplary ACT or SAT test scores and class rank. Congratulations to seniors Cameron Triplett, Tucker LaBarge and Allen Marvel on being selected.

Several Juniors and Seniors attended the CTE Spotlight Day at SIC. Students were able to attend sessions to learn more about CTE programs that SIC offers and tour the facilities. This was a great opportunity for our students to learn about dual credit and certificate options.
Senior Kayli Clarida presents about the Early Childhood Education program to prospective high school students at the SIC Career and Technical Education Spotlight Day. Kayli is one of our seniors who is enrolled as a dual credit student at SIC.
