Fourth Grade October Citizens of the Month

Galatia FFA / Trap Cats members braved the cold for the Section 25 FFA Trap Shoot. Despite the cold temperatures, members shot very well. Good job team.

Reminder!! Mobile dentist will be here November 20th & 21st. Consent forms were sent home with grade school students. Jr High & High school students can pick one up outside of the main office or you can print one at this link https://5il.co/b1o6 . Forms need to be turned in by November 12th. If your child has a a check up within the last 6 months an exam is not needed. Please call if you have any questions.

Grade School Parents! Thank you to those of you who have turned in the money from the Paragon sales. If you haven't, please do so this afternoon (11/6) or Thursday (11/7) morning at the latest.

2 p.m. dismissal tomorrow Tues Nov 4th. Winter wear giveaway...newborn through senior citizens. Setup & donations are Thurs Nov 7th, 5-7 at the FLOC building. The giveaway is Friday, November 8th from 4:30-6. Donations for everything to help stay warm! Everyone is welcome.

Don't forget tonight is the HS Boys Basketball Team's Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser (Mon, Nov. 4th) from 4-8 at Bondo's. Bring your ticket or buy one at the door. There will be take-outs.

Red & White Night will be Friday, Nov 22. The HS girls basketball team will be hosting a dinner, more details to come. Kitty Kat registration forms are due by November 12 and will be sent home with your child within the next few days!

Ms. Maridy Tso from Ag in the Classroom came and visited the 1st grade classes today. They got to learn about the Life Cycle of a Turkey and even got to make "Turkey Legs" for a snack.

Tomorrow morning the Lady Bearcats cross country team will be running in Sectionals against the top teams in Southern Illinois. For practice today we decided to cut loose and had a picture scavenger hunt around town with the help of some of the boys cross country team. It went great. Good luck tomorrow ladies!

Pre-K Red Ribbon Week!

1st match for the Jr. High Scholar Bowl!

The high school scholar bowl teams competed at their first matches today against Gallatin County. The JV won 260-120. Good job to both teams.

Attached are the tournament schedules for the 2019-2020 HS boys basketball team. This year we will begin our season the first week of December at the Trico/Murphysboro Tournament and in January we will be participating in the Egyptian Mid Winter Classic.

Come out & support the HS Boys Basketball Team at their Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. Mon, Nov. 4th from 4-8 at Bondo's. The boys are selling tickets & will be waiting tables that night. You can also come that night to purchase your dinner. There will be take-outs.

The Fall Carnival is this Friday (11/1/2019) from 5-8 p..m. There will be a chili supper, class basket auction, cake walk, and tons of games and prizes.
