
The Egyptian HS softball tournament scheduled for tomorrow, April 20 has been postponed. The tournament will be held next Saturday, April 27.

Today’s baseball and softball games at Crab Orchard have been cancelled. No softball practice today.

Pre-K visited Ross Cottom Lane! They had a blast!!


First grade had a great time on our field trip yesterday to Cedarhurst and the Mt. Vernon park. We learned so much about different kinds of art and got to enjoy the nice weather.



Congratulations to the Galatia Grade School Science Fair winners. 1st Place winner is Wyatt Arnold, 2nd Place winner is Jenna Hamson, and Honorable Mention went to Gunar Toler.

Just a reminder that School dismisses at 2:00 tomorrow, April 17, There is no school on Thursday April 18 through Monday April 22. Have a wonderful Easter.

Message from Mrs. Fry: We had a wonderful day in Springfield, IL on Friday, April 12th. We were able to meet with our State Senator, Dale Fowler and our State Representative Patrick Windhorst at the Capitol. We also visited Lincoln's Tomb and The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum.




We are celebrating Earth Day this week in Mrs. Yates's first grade class. We learned about ways to clean up the Earth, listened to the story,The Lorax, and got creative with our snack by making caterpillars with celery, peanut butter, and grapes! It has been a great Monday!

HS softball practice for today, Monday, April 15, has been cancelled (field is too wet).

Tomorrow, Tues., April 16th will be the Galatia Grade School Science Fair and Art Show. It will be held in Grade School Gym from 5-7 pm. The PTO will also be having a Book Fair at the Community Center. For parents purchasing the Zoodles Animal Encounter, photos will be sent home today.

Congratulations to Galatia FFA members on placing 3rd in the Section 25 Ag Mechanics CDE and to Noah Miller on placing 2nd in the electricity division. Great job team!

HS softball practice for today (4/10) has been cancelled

The school calendar has been updated. Please notice that some of these dates are tentative! If we would have some sort of emergency day changes could be made. The tentative last day of school is May 22.

Great group of FFA members that participated in Murray State University Field Day today. Team members did well in their areas. Harlie Horton was first in goat tying and Tyler Anderson was 2nd in weed identification. Great job group!


Prom is this Saturday, April 13th. Promenade starts at 5pm. If you are walking, you must be here at 4:30pm.
The dance is from 8 to 11pm in the high school gym.
The bus leaves for after prom at 11:30pm. A change of clothes needs to be brought with you as you are not allowed to go home between the dance and after prom.

Mrs. Mayberry's 2nd graders designed their own animal pollinators and tested to see how well they spread pollen. Students have been studying pollination and the importance of pollinators.
