
Today was a great day to run. Natalie Triplett, Zane Carlile, and Abby Kuczynski took advantage of the weather and received medals in their races at the Wesclin Cross Country Meet.


It's no "Trick" we love our students at Galatia Elementary!!


Mrs. Biggerstaff’s 2nd grade scientists spent time outside this afternoon. Students observed plants, nature, and fall signs. We will continue to work in our nature book through the month of October.



Mrs. Mayberry's 1st Grade read "Little Red Hen" this week and got to make homemade bread.

Galatia CUSD #1 is taking applications for full time bus drivers with benefits. Individuals must have a valid school bus driver’s license with air brakes or be willing to get a school bus license. If interested please contact Shain Crank, at 618-297-4570.

Reminder: JH boys basketball tryouts begin tonight, 9/30 from 4-6 @ GGS for boys in grades 5-8. There will also be a parent meeting in the GS cafeteria after practice @ 6. Also, for the safety of your children, please do not leave your kids unattended before practice—keep them with you until your coach arrives.

We are partnering with The Women's Center and area schools to wear purple on October 1st to raise awareness about domestic violence.

Congratulations Jr Bearcats on your semi-final regional win over New Simpson Hill, 6-2!!! The boys will play Friday @ Crab Orchard, 4:00 start.


There will be a JH girls basketball parent meeting on Friday, Sept 27 @ 5:00 in the GS cafeteria for girls in grades 5-8. JH boys basketball tryouts will begin Monday, Sept 30 from 4-6, with a parent meeting @ 6:00 in the GS cafeteria.
