Attention Galatia 3rd and 4th grade parents. We will be having sign ups for our Khoury League Basketball program Tuesday and Thursday night from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Practice will be from 5:30 to 7:30 both nights at the Galatia floc building. This is for both boys and girls. This will be the final two days to sign up. Thank you.
HS fall sports (volleyball & cross country) & JH fall/winter sports banquet (BB/SB, basketball & cheer) will be held Saturday, 1/11 @ GHS. Doors will open @ 11:15 for meal, awards will begin between 11:45-12. Advanced meal tickets can be purchased from JH cheerleaders or GS/HS offices until Wednesday, 1/8. Some meals may be available Saturday but will not be guaranteed.
The cost is $10 per person and will include: Baked Ziti with red sauce or Chicken Alfredo with green beans, salad, garlic bread, dessert & drink.
Our 4th graders donated, wrapped presents, and made cards for our “adopted grandparents” at local nursing homes. Thank you so much to all who helped out!!

Semester Exam 1 Schedule
Tonight’s (12/17) HS boys game vs NCOE has been rescheduled to Thursday, 12/19. JV game starts at 6:00 pm & the Kitty Kats will perform at halftime during the JV game.
This call is to inform you that Galatia School District will dismiss at 1:30 today and will NOT be in session on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. A bed bug was found today on a student at the high school. The Galatia High School facility will be professionally inspected for bed bugs and treated as necessary. We apologize for this inconvenience and will update parents/guardians as needed. Additionally, we will cancel all extra-curricular activities for tonight and tomorrow night. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Zoodles Animal encounter will be at the Grade school on Monday December 16th permission slips are required to attend. Pictures with three different animals are available for $10 a piece. Extra permission slips are available in office but were sent home with every student. Have a great weekend!

Southeastern Illinois Electric Coop is taking applications from Juniors and Seniors for the Youth to Washington and Youth to Springfield program. This is a fully paid trip to both Springfield & Washington to learn about government. To apply, see Ms. Hamson for an application.
Kitty Kat practice today, 12/13, after school from 3-4. The HS boys basketball game @ Crab Orchard has been moved up to 5:30 due to their homecoming; bus leaves HS @ 4:15. The JH boys basketball practice for this evening has been cancelled.

Galatia FFA lights parade Saturday 12/14 at 6:00 p.m. Will start at High School and go down Rt. 34 to the Grade School. Treats will be handed out at the Grade School. Entries are welcome but no ATV's or side by sides please.
