Attached is the conference tournament schedule for junior high boys basketball. The boys play their first game Thursday against Hardin County.
Here are a few scheduling updates for postponed games.
The high school boys home game originally scheduled for 1/8 against Thompsonville will be played on 1/22.
The high school girls game originally scheduled at Pope County on 1/9 will be played on 1/24.
The high school boys game originally scheduled at Hardin County on 1/13 will be played on 1/16. This game will follow the Little GEC tournament game between Galatia and Hardin County that starts at 5:00.
Attached are the regional schedules for junior high girls' and boys' basketball. Girls will play OLMC this Tuesday (1/14). Boys will play New Simpson Hill on January 28.
With the sun out today, road conditions have improved on some roads, but many still remain dangerous for buses. So families can plan, Galatia Schools will not be in session on Monday, January 13th. We will have our scheduled teacher's institute day on Tuesday the 14th with no students present, and return to normal school days on Wednesday the 15th. If we have some roads where buses can not pick up students because of poor conditions, we will make families aware of those particular roads or routes on Tuesday evening. Please watch Facebook, the school app, and listen for all call announcements about potential changes/cancellations of bus routes or particular roads. Tomorrow there will be no practices or games while we continue to make the parking lots safer to park and walk on. Games and practices on Tuesday will proceed as planned barring any unforeseen change. Stay safe and warm.
Good afternoon. We still have families without power, many roads are still frozen, and we have cold temperatures with a possibility of more snow on the way. Based on these factors, Galatia Schools will not be in session for the remainder of the week. Galatia schools will not be in session on 1/9/2025 or 1/10/2025. Stay safe and warm. All practices and games are also cancelled until 1/13/2025.

Hey Galatia Parents..The Galatia Khoury League will be providing this years youth basketball. This program is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys and girls in Galatia school district. Sign ups and first practice will be Wednesday January 8, 2025 at 5 p.m. There will a short practice to follow sign ups. Fee for this program will be $50.00. If you have any questions feel free to contact Coach Kendall Hankins.

This morning during the grade school Christmas program we had an adult with a medical emergency.. we called an ambulance. Everyone is safe at this time. Thank you to all the staff & medical professionals who helped during this time.
Santa came to visit all kiddos at Galatia Grade School today.
Galatia Masonic Lodge sponsored bikes for books during October & November, for each book they read they received an entry. Congratulations to Esdon Launius on being our bike winner & thank you to Galatia Masonic Lodge for sponsoring this.
Galatia Grade School Presents: North Pole Musical, tomorrow morning December 20th at 9am. Our students have been working extremely hard for this production, hope to see you there.
