GEC High School Girls' Tournament starts tonight. All games will be played at Galatia High School gymnasium. We will also be honoring our senior players before the game tonight.

The 8th grade cheerleader and basketball recognition ceremony will take place during the high school boys basketball game on 2/4. Cheerleaders and players will be recognized on the court between the jv and varsity games.
Due to the extenuating circumstances many of the GEC schools are facing, the conference scholar bowl tournament scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed. The tentative make up date is next Friday (2/7).
JH Scholar bowl match at Pope Co. today. Nice win for the 7th grade team and unfortunately the 8th grade team didn't get the win today but still a great match!

A few reminders please keep your kiddos home if they have not been fever free for 24hrs without medicine, have body aches, chills, belly issues or any other symptoms. Attached is the updated schedule for the jh boys conference tournament. Game times for tomorrow (1/22) are being moved up 15 minutes so our team should play at 6:45. If they win, they play again Thursday at 5:00.

Galatia teachers and staff had the opportunity to learn about Minds-on: Ways to Increase Engaged Learning with Dr. Kelly Stewart today. It was a great afternoon of collaboration and learning.
For 5th-8th grade girls interested in junior high volleyball: there will be open gyms from 5:00-7:00 on 1/21 & 1/23. Tryouts will be on 1/24 from 5:00-7:30. All these dates will be at the grade school gym.
