Galatia FFA members competed in the Section 25 Tractor Driving and Soil Judging contests today. Congratulations to Wyatt and Tristen on their first place team finish in tractor driving! The soil judging team anxiously awaits the results of their contest as it will take a bit for all of the cards to be scored.

Congratulations again to our jh baseball team for advancing to the state tournament! They are set to play St. John's Lutheran (Red Bud) in the first round. This game will be played at 1:30 on Saturday (10/5) at Coulterville City Park. Good luck boys!

Congratulations to the Galatia FFA Chapter on placing 1st in both Varsity and JV teams in the Section 25 Ag Sales contest. They now move on to district. The archery team placed 7th in Section contest, which was a good finish as well. Great job members!

The Grade School, Jr. High, and High School are going to be collecting items to send to a disaster relief team that will be going to Georgia. This is to help the families that were affected by the hurricane. Here is a list of items that we are looking to send: 1. Non perishable food items 2. Hygiene Items 3. Blankets 4. Diapers 5. New Clothing Some families lost everything. Any of these would really help these families in need. The relief team will be leaving this weekend. All items should be turned in by Friday for us to send with them. Thank you so much.

Today's junior high baseball regional championship game has been moved to Jay Thompson Field in Harrisburg. Game time is 4:00. There will not be concessions available. Good luck boys!

With the amount of rainfall in the last day, some of the rural roads are water covered. Just a reminder that school busses cannot drive on water covered roads. If you live on a road affected, please make arrangements to have your child picked up at school today. Thank you.

Galatia power is out with an unknown time of restoration. If power is not back on by 10:40am we will consider doing an early dismissal around noon. Please be advised that since there is not power, the school phones are down as well. Parents and guardians are welcome to come sign their students out.

JH/HS tutoring will be available from 3:00pm-4:00pm again this year with Mr. Morgan on Tuesdays and Mr. Jones on Thursdays.

The jh boys basketball meeting has been rescheduled to tomorrow (Thursday 9/26) at 5:45 in the high school cafeteria.

Junior high baseball and softball games are both canceled for today. Both are rescheduled for home games tomorrow at 4:00.

Due to wet field conditions and further forecasted rain, today's regional jh softball game has been canceled. The game is tentatively rescheduled for tomorrow. More details will follow.
